Exterior, Yard and Garage

The house is sited on the west side of Rose Street, with the front of the house facing east. The front of the house gets nice morning light, and the side of the house facing the driveway gets sunlight throughout the day through the large picture window in the dining room.

The house has a side yard to the south side of the house, and a large back yard. When I bought the house, the lawn and fences were all overgrown with many of the old cedar fences falling apart. I replaced all of these fences with new cedar stockade fencing, cleared all of the vegetation, removed a couple of trees, and mulched along the perimeter. I also installed a gated fence from the garage to the south side fence to allow the yard to be fenced in for a dog. The result is an open backyard with sections of sun and shade - great for a garden or enjoying the afternoon.

The garage is a single-car garage with extra space along the sides and back for storage, shelving, or even a small shop if you like.
